Overview
This role is responsible for partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into clear functional designs, ensure data solutions meet requirements, and support ongoing data platform initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work independently with business stakeholders to gather requirements, ask clarifying questions, and develop a thorough understanding of business needs.
- Apply critical thinking to decompose high-level requirements into detailed, actionable functional specifications.
- Collaborate closely with technical team members to clearly communicate requirements and support the development of appropriate technical solutions.
- Develop clear, complete test acceptance criteria and execute testing activities, including Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to validate accurate results.
- Create and execute SQL scripts to support ETL processes and data validation/testing.
- Conduct research and development activities aligned with current trends and technologies related to data engineering, data architecture, data security, and regulated industries.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for data platforms and related systems.
- Plan and contribute to internal initiatives, including legacy system modernization, monitoring and analytics enhancements, tool development, and technical documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to other team members as needed.
- Manage and prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
