About Jesse\'s Garage
Jesse\'s Garage is seeking a General Service Technician (GST) to join its busy, high-volume repair shop in Fort Myers, FL. This full-time opportunity pays $20?$25/hour and is scheduled 5 days per week, with a 6th day required as needed. There is flexibility to work Saturday with a weekday off. The shop offers consistent workflow, comprehensive insurance options, paid time off, a 401(k) with employer match, and an opportunity to continue developing automotive service and repair skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general automotive maintenance and service on a variety of vehicles.
- Complete oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and other routine maintenance.
- Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle systems for service needs.
- Assist with general mechanical repairs within your skill level.
- Use shop software to work with repair orders and look up parts.
- Take photos and videos during vehicle inspections using the shop\'s digital tools.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Support technicians and contribute to an efficient, team-focused shop workflow.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
- Strong understanding of basic automotive systems, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic automotive troubleshooting skills.
- Technically savvy and comfortable using shop software to work with repair orders, look up parts, and document inspections with photos and videos.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy, high-volume repair environment.
- Ability to work a 5-day schedule with a 6th day as needed, including flexibility to work Saturday with a weekday off.
- Positive, team-oriented approach to the work.
Compensation & Benefits
- $20?$25/hour.
- 401(k) with Employer Match: 100% company match up to 4% after 6 months.
