Job Details
A well-established and highly respected Texas litigation firm is seeking a mid-level to senior litigation attorney to join its growing team in San Antonio. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for sophisticated litigation work, strong client exposure, and a more balanced and sustainable practice environment than many larger firms offer.
The firm handles a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, insurance defense, professional liability, construction, transportation, and general business litigation.
This position is ideal for an attorney who values high-quality work and long-term growth, while also seeking reasonable billable expectations, hybrid flexibility, and a collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft and argue motions, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings and discovery
Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and client meetings
Develop case strategy and work directly with clients
Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex matters
Assist with trial preparation and trial support as needed
Mentor junior attorneys and support staff when appropriate
Qualifications
5+ years of litigation experience preferred
Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
Experience handling civil litigation matters in Texas state and/or federal court
Ability to independently manage cases and client relationships
Deposition and motion practice experience required
Trial experience is a plus, but not required
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
