Salesforce Business Analyst
Contract: 12 months
Location: Remote
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and the Salesforce delivery team. You will evaluate business processes, gather and document requirements, and translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications. This role will help optimize our client’s Salesforce environments, improve teammate and patient experiences, and support broader strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Requirements Gathering & Agile Delivery (40%)
· Partner with business leaders, Product Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
· Translate high-level business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, technical requirements, and process flows.
· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
· Manage and maintain the Jira backlog, keep work notes current, and help remove blockers to support successful deployments.
System Analysis & Solution Design (30%)
· Assess current-state processes and identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve efficiency using Salesforce.
· Collaborate with Salesforce Developers and Architects to ensure solutions meet business requirements and follow Salesforce best practices.
· Evaluate the potential impact of Salesforce releases and new features on existing customizations and workflows.
Quality Assurance & Testing (15%)
· Define test conditions and develop comprehensive test plans.
· Perform functional testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
· Investigate system issues and defects, perform root-cause analysis, and partner with development teams on remediation.
Training & Documentation (15%)
· Create and maintain project documentation, system workflows, release notes, and training materials in Confluence.
· Serve as a train-the-trainer resource and provide ongoing support so users can adopt new Salesforce features effectively.
· Present technical concepts and release information clearly to non-technical leaders and business users.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
· 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a closely related role.
· 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including standard and custom objects, Flows, validation rules, and security controls.
· Salesforce Certified Business Analyst and/or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification strongly preferred.
· Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
· Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office; Visio or Lucidchart experience is a plus.
