Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams, focusing on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth. The Scrum Master will coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage dependencies, provide visibility into team delivery plans, and enable continuous improvement while promoting and coaching the Agile mindset.
Responsibilities: - Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices, and develop their understanding of Agile principles
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (for example, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives)
- In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
- Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
- Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the team
- Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
- Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
- Enable the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
Requirements: - Experience as an Agile Scrum Master
- Working knowledge of Agile tools (Jira)
Desired skills: - Scrum Master Certification
- Experience with Agile methodology, as a project manager or scrum master
- Experience driving a shared service strategy and performance culture
- Relevant IT experience (SDLC- Waterfall / Agile) preferably within a Financial domain
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (both to a technical and non-technical audience)
Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
