Job Description

TEKsystems is hiring Low Voltage Technicians to support structured cabling projects in healthcare and educational facilities throughout the Greater Knoxville area. We are looking for dependable, team-oriented technicians who take pride in high-quality work and maintain professionalism while working in active environments.
In this role, technicians will be responsible for installing and terminating CAT6 cabling, building cable pathways, and supporting low-voltage infrastructure projects. This position requires local travel between job sites. PPE will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, pull, and terminate CAT6 structured cabling
• Perform punch-downs, rack and stack, and cable labeling
• Build and install cable pathways (J-hooks, cable tray, conduit where applicable)
• Install and support wireless access points
• Troubleshoot low-voltage cabling issues as needed
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in active healthcare and school environments
• Work collaboratively with project leads and other technicians

• Punchdown (110/66)

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10
• Must have or be willing to obtain Lift Certifications
• Must have a personal snip pouch/tool belt
• Willing to travel within the Greater Knoxville area
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in active environments (healthcare and education)

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
