Summary

Description
The main function of a Content Operations Manager is to provide innovative content strategies to engage and grow audience and enhance site performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of content management systems, data-driven decision-making and the ever-changing digital media landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in complex data analysis, SEO & AI/LLM best practices, content optimization and content operation workflows. This role be part of our Digital Strategy, Monetization, and Operations team and will collaborate with partners across the company to support digital strategy, optimize performance, drive user acquisition and meet business goals.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
Develop and guide content strategy and operations to enhance user acquisition and engagement, ensure cohesive workflows across content teams, and deliver high quality website experiences.
Improve content discoverability and performance by providing best practices, analyzing cross channel metrics, and offering actionable insights to expand reach and elevate user experience.
Collaborate across teams and partners-including monetization, product/engineering, editorial, and third party vendors-to align and prioritize content initiatives with broader business objectives.
Optimize systems and stay ahead of trends by auditing workflows for efficiency and monitoring industry and market developments in site, content, and search strategy.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Ability to make Data-Driven Decisions
a. 8+ years; using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or Adobe Analytics increase ROI.
2) Experience with SEO, LLM, or AI Chatbot
a. 8+ years; Experience with organic traffic (Google/Bing, ChatGPT, Claude)
3) Experience working on Ad Supported Websites
a. 8+ years
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
1) Experience with Affiliate Content Marketing.
2) Experience in a CMS
Soft Skills:
1) Demonstrated long-term thinking, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration
2) Experience making analytical, data-driven decisions with a user-centric approach to content
3) Excellent project management and organizational skills
4) Ability to manage and balance multiple (and sometimes competing) priorities in a fast-paced, complex business environment
5) Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying complex solutions to various audiences
6) Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment
Technology Requirements:
1) Experience with content management systems and multiple insights platforms - Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Google Products, BrightEdge, Similarweb, Asana)
2) Experience inputting Jira tickets.

This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.88/hr.
