Genesis10 is currently seeking an ETL Developer (DataStage) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a hands-on developer role focused on Core IBM DataStage ETL development for data movement, data quality, and data cleansing. The successful candidate will design, build, test, and deploy ETL solutions, migrate an existing application to an in-house tool, and collaborate with business users and solution architects in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities: - Perform core IBM DataStage ETL (Extract Transform Load) development for data movement, data quality, and data cleansing
- Design, build, test, and deploy ETL solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate with the line of business for requirements and collaboration
- Migrate an application to an in-house ETL tool
- Design, implement, and/or operate comprehensive process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction
- Communicate with Business Users and Solution Architects to convert ETL design into specific development activities
- Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow
- Troubleshoot ETL process failures and provide technical support for all ETL related issues
- Enable teams with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities
- Guide and influence teams on design and best practices for high code performance
- Provide end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation
Requirements: - Hands-on ETL development experience with tools such as DataStage, Informatica, Oracle, and Teradata
- Proven ability to work in a hands-on developer role with design, build, test, and deploy responsibilities
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams
- Results-driven and proactive work ethic
Desired skills: - Experience working with SAP packs
- Experience with high data volume
- Skills to do performance tuning in DataStage/Informatica
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
