We are seeking an Application Programmer with hands-on experience in ETL development within a Data Warehouse environment. This role involves working on multiple projects concurrently, taking ownership of design and development, and collaborating with global teams. The successful candidate will partner with business analysts and architects to design and implement technical solutions for real-time production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on design and ETL development in a Data Warehouse environment.
- Work on multiple projects, understand requirements, design solutions, and develop code.
- Partner with nearshore and offshore teammates in a matrix environment.
- Coordinate with support teams, including L2, development, testing, and upstream/downstream partners.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and contribute to high-level and detailed design.
- Work with the Information Architecture team to propose technical solutions.
- Identify and propose solutions for technology gaps.
- Ensure adherence to defined processes, quality standards, and best practices.
- Take accountability for technical deliveries from offshore teams.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Demonstrated experience in a role requiring strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to design systems with minimal direction.
- Experience with the full project life cycle in a Data Warehousing context.
- Experience handling large data volumes and performance tuning.
Technical Skills:- Expert knowledge of Oracle/Exadata and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Data Modeling, and ETL processing concepts.
- Primary Skill: Hadoop
- Secondary Skill: Informatica
- Tertiary Skill: Teradata
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a large financial organization.
