Role Overview
This position involves end-to-end platform administration and support tasks across a shared Starburst platform. The role focuses on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Starburst environment, ensuring its stability and performance. The candidate will serve as a high-level escalation point for issue resolution and contribute to the establishment of best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation and configuration of Starburst software.
- Coordinate, plan, and execute activities related to platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release management.
- Act as a Level 3+ escalation point for platform issue resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Configure and tune production and lower-level environments.
- Conduct capacity and stability monitoring, and assist with platform metrics collection and reporting.
- Contribute to the definition, review, documentation, and communication of standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Hands-on experience with Starburst software installation and configuration.
- Working knowledge of Openshift and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Trino and SQL query tuning.
- Proven troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Starburst software best practices and security models.
- Experience with connectivity configuration for Starburst.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hadoop.
- Knowledge of JDBC connectivity setup.
