Full Stack Java engineering role supporting Fraud & Claims Detection technology..
The engineer will work across backend, middleware, and database layers, contributing to modernization efforts and cloud migration (OpenShift).
This position requires strong hands-on Java, Spring, microservices, Oracle, and cloud skills, as well as the ability to work closely with engineering counterparts in India.
The role includes enhancements, platform modernization, and steady monthly production releases.
The workload is primarily
backend and middleware, with some full-stack responsibilities (JavaScript frameworks).
The application does not have a UI, increasing the need for strong microservices and backend engineering skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Develop full-stack Java solutions with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, and web services.
- Build and enhance microservices and backend logic supporting fraud and claims detection systems.
- Work heavily with Oracle DB, writing PL/SQL, crafting views, and understanding complex data models.
- Participate in cloud migration efforts using OpenShift and cloud engineering patterns.
- Support event-driven integrations using Kafka.
- Use SDLC tools, build tools (Gradle, Maven), and Java testing frameworks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with distributed teams across time zones.
- Troubleshoot production issues, resolve complex customer problems, and perform application maintenance.
- Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Follow secure coding practices and contribute to application stability, reliability, and compliance.
