Role Overview
 
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance Functional SME with strong expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) to support implementation, enhancement, and production support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials, excellent understanding of finance business processes, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
 
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Functional SME for Oracle Fusion Financials, with primary focus on AR and GL.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into Oracle Fusion functional solutions.
Configure and support Oracle Fusion AR and GL modules, including setups, transactions, accounting, and period-close activities.
Design and document business processes, functional specifications, solution designs, and configuration documents.
Support AR processes, including customer setup, invoicing, receipts, adjustments, credit memos, collections, revenue recognition, and reconciliation.
Support GL processes, including chart of accounts, journals, allocations, intercompany accounting, accounting rules, period close, and financial reporting.
Work with Subledger Accounting (SLA) and ensure accurate accounting flows from subledgers to GL.
Perform functional testing, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
Analyze and resolve complex functional issues and provide root-cause analysis.
Support integrations between AR/GL and other Oracle Fusion modules such as AP, Procurement, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Order Management.
Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, reports, conversions, interfaces, and extensions.
Support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
Prepare user documentation, process flows, test scripts, and training materials.
Provide guidance and functional leadership to junior consultants and project team members.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
 
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Oracle Financials, with significant experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
Strong hands-on functional experience in Oracle Fusion AR and GL.
Excellent understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
Strong knowledge of Subledger Accounting (SLA) and accounting distributions.
Experience with Oracle Fusion configuration, setups, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
Experience working on Oracle Fusion implementation, rollout, upgrade, or transformation projects.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end close processes.
Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Ability to work effectively with both functional and technical teams.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Fusion Financials certification is preferred.
Experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, FBDI, REST/SOAP integrations, and Oracle reporting tools.
Exposure to Oracle Fusion AP, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany modules.
Experience in global implementations involving multiple ledgers, legal entities, currencies, and accounting requirements.
Strong experience in client-facing roles and leading functional workshops.
