Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design and develop enterprise-level applications, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability of software solutions. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment to deliver high-quality applications that meet business requirements. Create user interfaces using modern web technologies to deliver intuitive and responsive user experiences. Automate processes and develop frameworks to consume web services and improve system integration and operational efficiency. Conduct code reviews and unit testing to uphold high standards of software quality and ensure applications are reliable, efficient, and adhere to industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: designing and developing software applications using Java and J2EE within Agile methodologies; developing software in a Microservices environment that deploys REST APIs; applying Application Architecture Disciplines and Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines to create robust and scalable solutions; utilizing Spring and Spring Boot frameworks for enterprise-grade application development using spring IOC, and AOP; developing software utilizing Scala with Play Framework and Scala Templates frameworks for advanced enterprise solutions; building software infrastructure and resolving application dependencies using Maven and Apache Ant; creating applications that utilize HTML, JSON, and XML formatted data files and service payloads; creating user interfaces with Bootstrap, CSS, Javascript, Angular and REACT; developing software that leverages SOAP and REST APIs for seamless data transfers between diverse components; implementing event streaming solutions using Apache Kafka; building application infrastructure components with Docker and Kubernetes container frameworks; deploying software on Apache Tomcat application server; setting up and managing software CICD pipelines using Jenkins; building and maintaining infrastructure environments on Linux and Unix-based systems, including setup through Shell Scripting; developing software with Oracle, MySQL, DB2 relational databases, and Cassandra NoSQL databases; creating and running SQL queries through Hibernate framework; deploying and testing applications on Amazon EC2; writing Java APIs for Amazon Lambda to manage AWS services; exporting SQL data to Elasticsearch for enhanced search capabilities; developing Automated Testing scripts utilizing Selenium and Cucumber frameworks, and Unit Testing scripts utilizing Junit; versioning software code using GIT and Apache Subversion for effective code management; configuring Dynatrace for comprehensive application monitoring; building proxies for applications using Google APIGEE; developing secure applications utilizing OAUTH protocols; building automation scripts using Python programming language; and setting up cloud computing environments on AWS Cloud Services to run and manage software applications.
