OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Design & Test Engineer to support the design, analysis, troubleshooting, and integration of complex electrical and mixed-signal systems. The role involves hands-on hardware development, test equipment usage, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and support for engineering team leadership.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree)
- Experience with electrical engineering design, including troubleshooting, analysis, and testing
- Hands-on proficiency with electrical design tools such as:
- Altium Designer
- DxDesigner
- Mentor Capital
- Creo Schematic
- Experience using test equipment such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
- Network Analyzers
- Power Meters
- Experience performing schematic capture and interpreting electrical schematics
- Active Secret security clearance required prior to start
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in STEM (ABET accreditation preferred but not required)
- Experience providing technical leadership within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience in analog, digital, and/or RF design
- Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed-signal, or electrical interconnect systems
- Familiarity with IDEs and debugging tools for software troubleshooting
- Ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines independently
- Strong teamwork and collaboration experience
- Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills
- Ability to lead single- or multi-discipline engineering teams
- Project management experience
- Experience supporting bids and proposals (BOEs, SOWs, etc.)
- Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques
- Experience developing or utilizing programming languages for hardware testing or automation
- Ability to adapt existing designs to support new Units Under Test (UUTs)
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities
