Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (Manual Tester) with strong expertise in application quality analysis, manual testing, and software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have the ability to independently analyze requirements, develop comprehensive test cases, identify defects, and ensure high-quality application releases.

Candidates with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain experience are highly preferred.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Application Quality Analysis (P4).

  • Strong hands-on experience in manual testing and test case design.

  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Quality Control (QC).

  • Ability to analyze business requirements, user stories, and expected application behavior.

  • Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating defects.

  • Strong knowledge of testing strategies, test execution, and quality processes.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on business requirements and user stories.

  • Analyze application functionality to ensure compliance with requirements and expected outcomes.

  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.

  • Provide expert guidance on testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.

  • Identify recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.

  • Support testing strategy development and improve test coverage and effectiveness.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be local to Boston, MA, or nearby and available to work onsite.

  • Must have 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • Must demonstrate expert-level application quality analysis skills.

  • Must be eligible to work on W2 under one of the specified work authorizations.

  • W2 only – No C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements.
