ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a technology company. This is a 36+ month contract opportunity with our client located in West Greenwich, RI. This is an onsite position. Note: Working Schedule: 8AM - 5PM
Summary: This role supports the Quality Control (QC) equipment group and is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a biotech environment, ensuring the procurement, validation, maintenance, and change control of QC equipment adheres to GMP/GDP standards.
Responsibilities: - Execute routine work orders and interact with end customers and vendors to ensure reliable QC equipment support
- Own and manage change controls for new and replacement QC equipment
- Manage the procurement of new QC equipment
- Work autonomously to lead cross-functional stakeholders in identifying end-user requirements, establishing validation requirements, and defining change control strategy
- Monitor and troubleshoot analytical benchtop equipment
- Lead projects and planning responsibilities to ensure on-time implementation of analytical instruments
- Provide oversight of vendor preventative maintenance (PMs)
- Create new assets and PM scheduling in Maximo
- Obtain end-user requirements and vendor quotes for lifecycle replacement of equipment
Requirements: - Associate degree and 2 years of experience OR 2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experience
- Experience with GMP/GDP (Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Documentation Practices)
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Must be able to work fully onsite
Desired skills: - Experience in the biotech industry
Pay range: Up to $22.43 per Hour
