Senior Java Backend Software Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Java Backend Software Developer to join their team in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot to build and enhance in-house curation tools that will impact multiple development teams. This role is heavily focused on backend development, with opportunities to contribute to frontend and additional technologies as internal tool adoption evolves. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in microservices and AWS, with exposure to Node.js or TypeScript as a plus.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services with a focus on Java and Spring Boot
* Build in-house curator tools to support multiple development teams across the organization
* Develop and deploy microservices in AWS environments
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and tools
* Provide technical input on architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
* Potentially contribute to Node.js and/or TypeScript-based projects as internal needs evolve
* Ensure best practices for code quality, testing, and security

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience with AWS cloud services
* Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and development
* Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
* Solid understanding of full stack development principles

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
* Experience with Node.js (and potentially TypeScript)
* Familiarity with frontend development practices and frameworks
* Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills in fast-paced environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
