SUMMARY
The Senior OpenText xECM Developer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise content management solutions using the OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) platform with a strong emphasis on API connectivity, records management governance, workflow automation, and secure enterprise integrations.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role serves as the technical lead for application integration and records-enabled information management capabilities across enterprise business systems. The position partners with business stakeholders, architects, security teams, infrastructure teams, and application owners to deliver scalable, compliant, and highly integrated content services.

The ideal candidate combines strong OpenText development experience with hands-on expertise building API integrations, records retention solutions, automation workflows, and cloud-hosted enterprise content platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - OPENTEXT XECM SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT
-  Design, develop, configure, and maintain OpenText xECM solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. - Develop custom modules, workflows, forms, scripts, event handlers, and extensions. - Build reusable enterprise content services and integration patterns. - Deliver technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and


implementation playbooks. - Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) and controlled promotion of OpenText configurations across environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - API INTEGRATION & CONNECTED SYSTEMS (PRIMARY FOCUS)
-  Design and implement API-first integrations between OpenText xECM and enterprise applications. - Develop and support integrations using: - OpenText Content Server REST API - OpenText Platform APIs - OpenText Extended ECM Business Workspace APIs - SOAP and REST web services - OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect authentication - Microsoft Graph API - DocuSign APIs - SAP integration services - PeopleSoft integration frameworks - SharePoint Online APIs - Azure Integration Services - Build and maintain: - Event-driven integrations - Webhooks - API orchestration - Data synchronization services - Secure document exchange interfaces - Implement monitoring, logging, retry logic, and exception handling for integrations. - Design integration standards including versioning, authentication, and service governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - RECORDS MANAGEMENT & INFORMATION GOVERNANCE (PRIMARY FOCUS)
-  Lead implementation and administration of OpenText Records Management capabilities. - Configure: - Record classifications - File plans - Retention schedules - Legal holds - Disposition workflows - Event-based retention - Security classifications - Immutable record controls - Develop records-enabled business workspaces and automated declaration processes. - Implement metadata governance and controlled taxonomy structures. - Design audit and compliance reporting capabilities. - Ensure compliance with records and information governance requirements. - Support defensible disposition and preservation processes. – Enable advance scanning techniques. _Create barcode integrations and printing for physical records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - WORKFLOW & PROCESS AUTOMATION
-  Design and deploy enterprise workflows using: - OpenText Workflow - Power Automate - OpenText xECM Power Automate Connector - Global Cents PowerTools - OpenText eForms - Develop approval, records declaration, document routing, and exception handling workflows. - Create proof-of-concept solutions supporting business modernization initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - PLATFORM ADMINISTRATION & OPERATIONS
-  Support OpenText Content Server and xECM platform administration. - Perform platform upgrades and patch management. - Administer: - Archive Server - Directory Services - Intelligent Viewer - Workflow Engine - Monitor application health, performance, availability, and cybersecurity posture. - Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
-  Implement secure integration patterns and encryption controls. - Configure RBAC, permissions, auditing, and records security. - Support vulnerability remediation and operational monitoring. - Produce audit and compliance reporting for internal governance programs.

EXPERIENCE
-  8+ years administering and developing OpenText Content Server / xECM. - 6+ years building OpenText workflows and automation. - 5+ years designing enterprise API integrations. - 5+ years implementing OpenText Records Management. - 3+ years supporting Azure-hosted enterprise platforms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-  Experience integrating OpenText with DocuSign. - Experience with Vendor Invoice Management (VIM). - Knowledge of enterprise information governance practices. - Experience supporting regulated or public-sector environments. - Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
