Business Analyst (Pharma & AI Solutions)

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong pharmaceutical domain expertise to lead AI-driven initiatives for our client in Foster City, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering AI solutions from POC to Production, with expertise in AWS, business analysis, stakeholder management, and regulated pharmaceutical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Business Analyst and Pharma SME for enterprise initiatives and digital transformation programs.
• Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Drive AI and Generative AI initiatives from ideation, POC, pilot, and production deployment.
  Collaborate closely with product owners, data scientists, architects, developers, and business teams to define and deliver scalable solutions.
• Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business, data, cloud, and technology teams.
• Support solution validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management activities.
• Provide recommendations on leveraging AI, analytics, and cloud technologies to improve business outcomes.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively communicate with stakeholders.
• Support reporting, dashboarding, and data analysis initiatives for business decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, including significant experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
• Proven experience serving as a Pharma SME on large-scale business and technology initiatives.
• Hands-on experience supporting AI/ML or Generative AI solutions from POC through production delivery.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud environments, with strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience leading discussions and coordinating activities across multiple teams and business units.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS AI/ML services, Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, and related cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical domains such as Clinical, Regulatory, Drug Safety, R&D, Commercial, Manufacturing, or Quality.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence tools.
• Understanding of database concepts, SQL, data modeling, and data governance.
• Experience working with enterprise AI platforms and cloud-based analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with GxP, FDA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
