Summary

Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 12+ years of expertise in test automation, quality assurance, and software testing. The ideal candidate will lead automation strategy, design robust test frameworks, and ensure high-quality software delivery across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications
Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
Develop and maintain CI/CD-integrated test automation pipelines
Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them to resolution
Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and reporting
Conduct root cause analysis of defects and production issues
Mentor junior QA engineers and guide automation best practices
Participate in code reviews and design discussions
Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
12+ years of experience in QA/Software Testing with strong automation focus
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestNG
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
Experience with test framework design (BDD, TDD frameworks like Cucumber)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Experience in defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla)
Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Exposure to mobile automation (Appium)
Familiarity with security testing practices
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
