Enterprise Functional Architect/Business Architect

$70 per hour W2
Pls note: 100% remote with some flexibility on candidate subjected to availability to attend quarterly meetings IN PERSON as needed.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
A functional architect designs application systems to streamline business processes and meet the needs of a business. Working from project to project, a functional architect must define the purpose and scope of the technical aspects of an application system or product. Daily duties include collaborating with other managers within the business to establish product design, development, and sales projections. A functional architect must understand the high-level functionality of an application or product from both a technical and conceptual viewpoint. Qualifications include years of relevant experience and well-developed skills in business, system analysis, and product management.
Responsibilities for functional architect
• Proactively partner with other solution areas within IT to develop IT product recommendations to our business partners
• Implement strategic recommendations to drive increased adoption throughout the employee / customer product lifecycle experience
• Acquires functional / data knowledge on all business processes
• Work closely with other design functions and project management to ensure that development is aligned with customer requirements, contribute to product innovations and improvement ideas
• Communicating about new products and technologies in SaaS building solutions, their effective maturity and their potential value – familiarity with AWS preferred.
• Communicates strategic IT decisions and plans and works to achieve alignment at the top level of the business, function, or geography
• Represents the needs of the business, function, or geography during the IT priority-setting process
• Identifies leverage opportunities where IT can provide cost-effective, standard solutions to meet the needs of multiple business/function/geography organizations
• The ability to understand requirements quickly
• Work with Proposal Owners during proposal phase of demand management to establish engagement for architecture work
Qualification & skills:
• 15+ years of experience in IT consulting and/or digital transformation.
• Management consulting experience and delivered IT consulting assignments.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of business processes across functions.
• Min 5 years’ experience in with implementing large ERP solutions
• Min 5 years’ experience in digital transformation of building / facilities related systems.
• Understand smart buildings and facilities platforms , how they are wired together , how they interact and how would change be orchestrated in these platforms to support agendas and programs
• Familiarity with digital technologies such as cloud computing, RPA, data & analytics, and enterprise platforms.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications such as AWS CSA, PMP, ITIL, or Agile are a plus. Pl upload in Vector if they have this cert!!!

Required: 15 Years
· Exp with Business Process Engineering and re-Engineering
· Exp with Deep understanding of Cloud and SaaS applications
· Sr level exp as Functional and Business Architecture
· Exp with requirement gathering (functional & non-functional)
· Well rounded knowledge of Cloud Provider services for Azure and AWS
· Hands on experience with architectural methodologies like ATAM and QAW
· Partner with Senior Management and other Stake holder to understand business needs
· People Skills in managing stake holders and Business Analysts to deliver results
· Certifications such as AWS CSA, PMP, ITIL, or Agile are a plus. Pls upload under Reference tab if they have one of these certs!
