Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Telecom/Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and network security and a proven ability to design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot large-scale telecom/network infrastructures while leading projects and guiding technical direction.
Responsibilities:
- Influence technical direction, architecture design, and product selection for enterprise telecom and data networks.
- Assist and at times lead deployments of telecom/network technologies across the enterprise.
- Exercise independent judgment to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to short- and long-term strategy and budget planning for network services.
- Evaluate and improve telecom/network infrastructure services and processes.
- Research emerging technologies and integrate appropriate solutions into business and technical workflows.
- Monitor network services using established tools and remediate incidents to restore service.
- Plan and lead local and mid-size enterprise projects, coordinating internal and external resources to meet customer needs.
- Provide oversight for project tasks and offer input to team member evaluations when requested.
- Lead medium-sized implementations and complex troubleshooting efforts that may impact patient care and financial operations.
- Perform duties aligned with Telecom/Network Specialist as needed and represent the unit on committees.
- Support urgent backfill needs per schedule requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in routing, switching, and wireless across enterprise network infrastructures.
- Proficiency with network and network security monitoring and management tools.
- Hands-on experience with network security services: NAC, segmentation (Cisco TrustSec, ISE), VPN, secure web gateways, internet caching, and DNS security.
- Ability to assist and lead network troubleshooting and security incident remediation in coordination with Help Desk, ITOC, and SOC.
- Familiarity with SDN and related technologies, including firewalls, WAN/LAN, SASE, and cloud networking.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Splunk, Ansible, Python, and .NET.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, tools, and terminology.
- Extensive knowledge of telecom/network concepts, protocols, and the OSI model.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and analytical skills with experience facilitating meetings and coaching peers.
- Experience Level: See Education section for required professional experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco ecosystem experience.
- CCNA certification.
Work Arrangement & Equipment:
- Hybrid with remote opportunities after 3 months.
- All required equipment will be provided.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of four (4) years of professional work experience.
- Associate's degree with a minimum of six (6) years of professional work experience.
- Eight (8) or more years of professional technical experience in lieu of a degree.
