Summary

Job Title: Senior Engineer Windows 365 VDI

Location: HYBRID - Flexible (Dallas, TX OR Charlotte, NC OR Iselin, NJ)

Duration: 12 Months

Technical Experience

Candidates should demonstrate a strong, verifiable track record across the following areas:

7+ years of experience in end-user computing, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), or cloud PC engineering roles.
3+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Windows 365 Cloud PC provisioning, management, and optimization.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Workspace, and Citrix Cloud administration.
Demonstrated experience integrating Citrix technologies with Microsoft Windows 365/Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
Proven track record leading or supporting large-scale VDI/Cloud PC rollouts to end-user populations.
Experience developing support documentation, SOPs, and escalation frameworks for Tier 1/Tier 2 support teams.
Experience delivering technical training or enablement sessions to support staff.
Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., Citrix Director, Microsoft Intune analytics, Azure Monitor).

Technical Requirements

The following technical skills and knowledge areas are required for success in this senior-level role:

Deep expertise with Windows 365 Cloud PC (Enterprise/Frontline), provisioning policies, and Cloud PC image management.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager for Cloud PC configuration, compliance, and policy management.
Advanced knowledge of Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Workspace app, StoreFront, and Citrix Cloud Connector architecture.
Experience with Azure Virtual Network configuration, hybrid Azure AD join, and network connectivity requirements for Cloud PCs.
Solid understanding of Windows OS internals, Group Policy, and profile management solutions (e.g., FSLogix) in a VDI context.
Experience with identity and access technologies including Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, conditional access, and multi-factor authentication.
Proficiency in performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
Understanding of networking fundamentals impacting VDI performance (bandwidth, latency, QoS, SD-WAN considerations).
Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of Windows 365/Citrix administrative tasks.
Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for cloud-hosted desktop environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for support staff and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience performing root-cause analysis on complex, multi-tier system issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Windows 365 Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V) or higher Citrix certification.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty certification.
Prior experience in a Contract/Contingent Worker (CW) engagement supporting enterprise IT transformation initiatives.
Experience working within ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes.
