Title: Technical Writer (Multi-Cloud Documentation Specialist)
Location: Onsite 4 days/week, Boston Area (Quincy preferred; Austin may be considered)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with strong multi-cloud knowledge to create high-quality, structured, and scalable documentation. This role will focus on documenting cloud platforms, architectural patterns, and best practices across AWS and Azure environments, with an emphasis on clarity for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for multi-cloud environments (AWS & Azure)
- Create detailed documentation for Azure services, including Azure Cosmos DB, and define reusable multi-pattern documentation frameworks aligned with enterprise standards
- Produce clear guardrails and governance documentation for cloud services (security, compliance, architecture standards)
- Write and maintain:
o README files
o High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) documentation
o Internal and external-facing technical documents
- Document infrastructure components such as Virtual Machines (VMs), highlighting differences and best practices between AWS and Azure
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product teams to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand documentation
- Support both horizontal (cross-platform) and vertical (domain-specific) documentation initiatives
- Ensure consistency of documentation, versioning, and adherence to organizational standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer in cloud or infrastructure environments
- Strong understanding of multi-cloud platforms, especially AWS and Azure
- Hands-on experience documenting Azure services (e.g., Azure Cosmos DB)
- Familiarity with cloud architecture concepts including high availability, scalability, and resiliency
- Experience creating governance frameworks, guardrails, and best practice documentation
- Ability to document differences across cloud providers (e.g., AWS vs Azure VM architectures)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with engineering and architecture teams in Agile environments

- Experience in financial services or enterprise environments (e.g., asset management firms)
- Familiarity with documentation tools (Confluence, Markdown, Git, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud security and compliance standards
