responsibilities:
- End-to-End Ownership: Own and define the system-level architecture across firmware, mobile, web, backend services, data, and cloud infrastructure.
- Technical Leadership: Provide architectural direction for major initiatives, driving long-term platform roadmaps and technical strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering leads, product, firmware, mobile, and cloud teams to ensure cohesive, scalable system designs.
- Design & Review: Lead architectural reviews, ensuring systems meet stringent requirements for performance, high availability, low latency, security, and maintainability.
- Hands-on Guidance: Influence and guide implementation while remaining hands-on where needed to unblock teams at critical architectural points.
- Operational Excellence: Instill best practices for system design, documentation, observability, monitoring, incident response, and reliability patterns.
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor to engineering leadership, balancing near-term delivery with long-term architectural health.
qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale software systems with proven exposure across multiple layers of the stack.
- Comprehensive System Understanding: Strong architectural grasp spanning firmware, IoT, mobile applications, web applications, backend services, and cloud platforms.
- API Integration: Deep experience architecting and integrating RESTful and event-driven APIs in distributed systems.
- Cloud-Native Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, including microservices, messaging/streaming, data stores, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Lifecycle Leadership: Proven experience guiding engineering teams through the full development lifecycle: architecture, design, development, deployment, and production.
- Business Acumen: Ability to seamlessly translate complex business and product requirements into scalable, resilient system designs
