RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking a Level 2 Production Support Specialist to support and enhance critical production systems in a fast-paced technical environment.
Summary:
This role is focused on advanced troubleshooting, SQL querying, PowerShell scripting, and automation. Deep domain expertise (e.g., POS systems) is not required at hire, but strong technical capability and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and support production systems to ensure system stability, uptime, and performance
* Serve as L2 escalation for application, database, and server-related incidents
* Write and execute advanced SQL queries for data extraction, troubleshooting, and reporting
* Develop and execute PowerShell scripts to gather data, generate lists, and automate processes
* Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
* Design and enhance automation to reduce recurring manual effort
* Support testing activities, including executing test cases and validating fixes
* Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and deployments
* Document incidents, solutions, and automation processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience with SQL (complex queries required)
* Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting
* Experience running scripts against servers for data collection and troubleshooting
* Experience supporting production systems in a Level 2 capacity
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment
* Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
