Role Overview
• We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and drive complex Financial Shared Services (FSS) transformation initiatives across business, finance, technology, and shared-services organizations. This role will be responsible for translating the FSS transformation strategy into executable programs, managing cross-functional dependencies, and delivering measurable improvements in process efficiency, standardization, automation, controls, and service delivery.
• The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading large-scale finance/shared-services transformation programs in complex, global environments, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and drive execution across multiple teams and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end FSS transformation programs from strategy and roadmap through execution, stabilization, and benefits realization.
• Drive transformation across finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, and financial reporting.
• Develop and manage integrated program plans covering process, people, technology, data, controls, change management, and organizational readiness.
• Establish transformation roadmaps, milestones, KPIs, governance structures, and executive reporting.
• Partner closely with Finance leadership, FSS leadership, Business Process Owners, IT, Data & Analytics, ERP teams, and external partners.
• Drive process standardization and harmonization across business units, geographies, and operating entities.
• Manage complex cross-functional dependencies across ERP, data, integration, reporting, automation, and enterprise platforms.
• Lead workshops and executive working sessions to define current-state challenges, target-state processes, transformation opportunities, and implementation priorities.
• Manage program risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, scope, budget, and resource capacity.
• Establish effective governance and ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical issues.
• Track business outcomes and ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable benefits
• Coordinate organizational change management, stakeholder communication, training, and adoption activities.
• Manage system integrators, consulting partners, and technology vendors where applicable.
• Provide concise and actionable updates to senior executives and steering committees.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• 10+ years of project/program management experience, preferably within Finance, FSS, ERP, or enterprise transformation.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex Financial Shared Services or Finance Transformation programs in large/global organizations.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, and transformation methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and large cross-functional teams.
• Experience working across Finance, IT, Operations, Data, and business functions in a matrixed organization.
• Strong experience with executive stakeholder management and steering committee governance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive transformation where requirements, ownership, processes, and technology solutions may initially be ambiguous.
• Strong financial and commercial management skills, including program budgets, resource planning, and benefits tracking.
• Experience with SAP and familiarity with finance technology ecosystems.
• Experience with process automation, analytics, AI, workflow, and digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive decisions across organizational boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project/program management certification.
• Experience with Finance Transformation effort across large and complex organization.
• Experience with Finance Data Platforms, Power BI, Databricks, automation, AI, or related analytics technologies.
• Experience managing large-scale consulting/system integration partners.
• Experience with global process standardization, operating-model redesign, and service-transition programs.
