About the RoleWe are seeking an
Experienced Security Technician with a strong background in
IP cameras, access control, and/or fire alarm systems to service both
residential and commercial customers. This is a customer-facing, field-based role supporting installation, service, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance across a wide range of security systems.
This position is best suited for a
highly motivated, technically strong professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service-even in high-pressure or worst-case scenarios. Technicians in this role are trusted professionals and represent the company directly in front of customers every day.
What You'll Be DoingAs a Senior Security Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining:
- CCTV and IP surveillance cameras
- Access control systems and card readers
- Burglar alarm and fire alarm systems
- Wireless and hardwired keypads
- DVR/NVR systems and communicators
- Performing diagnostics on alarm panels, wiring, and system programming
- Providing preventative maintenance and system upgrades
- Supporting both residential and enterprise customers
- Conducting system testing and training customers on proper operation
- Documenting installations, service calls, and materials used with accuracy
- Coordinating with dispatch, project managers, and department leaders to close out service tickets and inspections
- Staying current on evolving security technologies and best practices
- Participating in an on-call rotation for service response
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
Vehicle & Inventory Responsibilities- Company vehicle provided, including a company gas card
- Technicians are issued truck stock and are responsible for:
- Tracking inventory usage
- Accurately costing parts used
- Maintaining organized, documented inventory records
Required Qualifications- Expert-level experience in security system installation and service
- Strong background in at least one (preferably multiple) areas:
- Access Control
- Video Surveillance (IP & Analog)
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Prior residential and commercial security experience
- Strong mechanical and low-voltage troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics and system documentation
- Exceptional customer service skills with a calm, professional demeanor
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and work at heights (ladders, scissor lifts, etc.)

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vandalia, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
