Description
We are looking for a Hardware Technician to join a plastics manufacturing organization in Coral Springs, Florida on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This position supports device preparation and technical service activities, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of customer-related requests. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a team-driven environment, handling detailed technical tasks, and providing practical support for hardware and software issues.
Responsibilities:
Prepare hardware for customer delivery by installing required applications and completing secure configuration steps based on order specifications.
Process service and repair requests by evaluating devices, performing assigned technical tasks, and documenting work accurately.
Follow established security and compliance procedures while handling systems, software loads, and protected access components.
Provide frontline technical support to customers and internal team members by resolving basic hardware, software, and operating system issues.
Assist with inventory organization by tracking equipment locations, maintaining stock accuracy, and supporting allocation needs.
Manage multiple assignments efficiently while maintaining quality standards and meeting expected turnaround times.
Use internal documentation and prior knowledge to complete detail-sensitive tasks with a high degree of precision.
Contribute to team operations by taking initiative, supporting shared goals, and completing additional duties as business needs require.
Requirements
Prior experience in an IT, hardware support, deployment, or technical service environment.
Hands-on knowledge of hardware and software installation and basic troubleshooting practices.
Proficiency with Windows operating systems and common Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting.
Familiarity with customer service practices and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Exposure to Active Directory or similar user and device administration tools is preferred.
Ability to remain composed and solution-focused when working through urgent or high-pressure situations.
