Minimum Qualifications Summary:
- All candidates must have at least three reference-ready projects in the last 7 years as the Technical Writer involving the design, configuration, testing, and successful operational implementation of a highly available scalable and secure cloud solution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active daily use and industry standard documentation tools including MS Word, a minimum of one (1) diagramming tool such as MS Visio, and experience with a minimum of one (1) collaborative content management system such as SharePoint. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last seven (7) years prior to the offer due date.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
a) one (1) specialized technical compatible with tool beyond the standard MS Office suites; OR
b) one (1) year experience using markdown and Git-based version control for documentation.
Have experience designing and implementing information architecture for large-scale IT technical documentation sets as evidenced by contributions a minimum of two (2) multi-document projects. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last seven (7) years prior to the offer due date.
A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience and technical writing specifically for a State of California agency or other large-scale state government entity within the United States. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last seven (7) years prior to the offer due date.
Education and Professional Certification
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree.
