Job Description:
My client is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to provide enterprise-level technical leadership for workflow automation and business process improvement initiatives. The role involves aligning business and IT strategies, designing scalable architecture solutions, leading workflow automation efforts, and supporting modernization initiatives
using technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, UiPath, Jira, ServiceNow, cloud platforms, containerization, DevOps, and API integrations. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide technical staff, oversee architecture and solution design activities, provide strategic recommendations, and support knowledge transfer and training for State staff.
Mandatory Qualifications
M1-Eight (8) years of FTE experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes.
At least five (5) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
M2-Possess a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
M3-Five (5) years of FTE of Technical Expertise in one (1) or more of the following:
• Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.
• Cloud Architecture and Services: Azure or AWS, ECS/EKS/Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.
• Application Development: Proficiency in Java EE, .NET Core, C#, CSS/HTML/SCSS, Retool, RESTful APIs, and MVC frameworks.
• Containerization: Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines for containerized environments.
• DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform), automated testing and deployment.
• Integration & Interoperability: Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and API gateways.
• Security Architecture: Knowledge of identity management (e.g., Ping Identity), encryption, and secure design principle.
M4-Five (5) years of FTE in strategic and analytical skills in one (1) or more of the following areas:
• Business-IT Alignment: Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Gap Analysis & Roadmapping: Define current vs. future state architectures and migration strategies.
• Technology Evaluation: Conduct research on emerging technologies and assess their fit for organizational needs.
• Governance & Standards: Develop and enforce architectural standards, policies, and review processes.
M5-Five (5) years of FTE of Leadership & Collaboration in one (1) or more of the following areas:
• Cross-functional Leadership: Lead architectural review boards and collaborate with program, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Mentorship: Guide technical teams and junior architects.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Oversight: Participate in solution design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise goal.
