Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong experience supporting containerized applications, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tooling. This role focuses on partnering closely with AI developers to ensure applications are properly sized, efficiently scaled, and optimally deployed within containerized environments. The ideal candidate excels in infrastructure engineering, understands modern cloud architectures, and communicates effectively with technical and non-technical teams alike. While not a hands-on development role, this position plays a critical part in platform performance, reliability, and the upcoming migration from AWS to Google Cloud Platform.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with AI and ML development teams to determine appropriate sizing, scaling, and performance metrics for containerized applications.
- Assess and optimize platform performance across Kubernetes, Docker, and Swarm-based environments.
- Oversee and support applications deployed within the Kore.AI platform running in AWS, ensuring the underlying infrastructure is reliable and resilient.
- Contribute to and support the planned migration from AWS to Google Cloud Platform, advising on architecture, scalability, and cloud best practices.
- Use Argo CD as the team’s CI/CD and deployment management tool to track code changes and orchestrate application deployments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, container performance, and resource utilization to ensure stability and efficiency.
- Serve as an infrastructure-side subject-matter expert, partnering with engineering and leadership teams.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with cross-functional stakeholders to explain technical considerations and provide performance recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with:
- Argo CD (CI/CD pipelines, GitOps deployment workflows)
- Kubernetes, Docker, and Docker Swarm
- Strong background in cloud computing environments.
- Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) experience highly preferred.
- AWS cloud experience accepted and valuable.
- Experience working on the infrastructure side of engineering (vs. application development).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical performance needs into actionable guidance.
Preferred Qualifications (Plusses):
- Experience with the Kore.AI platform.
- Exposure to NLP, machine learning, or AI-driven application environments.
- Familiarity with SIP or VoIP technologies.
- Prior experience supporting large-scale cloud migrations or multi-cloud architectures.
