Senior Manual Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual Tester to support software system testing activities, including test case development, test execution, defect identification, and validation. The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing experience, good understanding of the SDLC and SIT processes, and hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA/JAMA and SQL.

Prior IES (Integrated Eligibility System) experience is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies
• Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into test scenarios
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SDLC
• Experience with System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and/or JAMA
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and testing
• Prior experience with IES (Integrated Eligibility System)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform software system testing for application features and functionality.
• Review business and technical requirements and develop comprehensive test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and document test results.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) activities.
• Perform data validation using SQL queries when required.
• Log and manage defects using JIRA/JAMA or similar testing tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve testing issues.
• Support regression testing and validate fixes and enhancements.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation, results, and defect status.
• Participate in SDLC activities and support testing deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Manual Tester / QA Analyst / Software Tester.
• Strong experience in test case creation and execution.
• Experience with system and integration testing.
• Good understanding of software development and testing life cycles.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.

Preferred Experience

• IES / Integrated Eligibility System experience
• Government or public-sector application testing experience
• Experience working in Agile or structured SDLC environments
• Experience with JIRA, JAMA, and SQL-based data validation
