Summary

A leading embedded security firm is hiring a Reverse Engineer to join their team supporting advanced research and real-world exploitation across embedded hardware and firmware. This is a full time, hybrid role in the DC metro area focused on low level reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and exploit development. The role is not limited to Federal work. You will have the opportunity to support both Federal programs and Commercial Fortune 500 customers.

You will be working on complex embedded systems where the problems are ambiguous and the impact is real. This is deeply hands-on, research driven work where you will perform reverse engineering, identify vulnerabilities through advanced analysis techniques, and develop offensive and defensive tooling. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge problems, contribute to internal tooling, and collaborate with some of the strongest security researchers in the industry.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in software and hardware reverse engineering
Expert level understanding of vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques
Experience with assembly for at least one major architecture
Strong computer science fundamentals
Proficiency in C or C++ and Python
Active clearance or ability to obtain
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with fuzzing or side channel attacks
Familiarity with ARM, AARCH64, MIPS, or PPC assembly
Experience contributing to research or leading technical projects
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
What You Will Be Doing
Leading reverse engineering efforts across embedded hardware and software
Identifying vulnerabilities through static, dynamic, and side channel analysis
Developing proof of concept exploits and offensive capabilities
Building defensive solutions to detect and prevent attacks
Developing tooling to automate vulnerability discovery
Contributing to internal platforms and research initiatives
Designing testing infrastructure for hardware and software systems
