About this Position:

Job Title: Information Systems Architect

Major Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and administer AWS environments following best practices.

• Support AWS account structure, IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access.

• Develop and maintain solutions using AWS services including (but not limited to): Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, and Elastic Load Balancing.

• Amazon VPC, subnets, routing, and security controls.

• Amazon S3, EBS, EFS, and data lifecycle policies.

• AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architectures.

• Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.

• Develop and support Amazon Connect contact center environments, including: Contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and prompts.

• Integrations with AWS Lambda, APIs, and external systems.

• Call recording, analytics, and troubleshooting.

• Design and integrate AI-enabled solutions using Amazon Bedrock where applicable.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent tools.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization opportunities.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

• Collaborate with security teams to implement encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls.

• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.

• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to team members.

• Participate in scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and after-hours support as required.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of overall IT experience supporting enterprise systems.

• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in development and/or administration.

• 3+ years of experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Lambda).

• 3+ years of experience with Amazon Connect and/or contact center technologies.

• 3+ years of experience integrating APIs, serverless functions, and cloud-native services.

• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation.

• 3+ years of experience with security best practices, logging, and monitoring in AWS.

• 3+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, or equivalent).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI/ML integrations and prompt engineering.

• Experience with hybrid cloud or third-party integrations.

• Cost optimization and FinOps experience.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Hybrid Cloud Architectures.

Education and Certifications

• Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional OR AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.

• Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305).
