Role: Sr Procurement Project Manager
Location: Nashville, TN- Hybrid
Duration: One Year Contract with possibility of extensions
Job Description:
This position is based in Nashville, TN and supports agency-wide procurement activities. The Procurement Project Manager will serve as a technical liaison between the agency and the central procurement office, assisting with the development and execution of procurement activities while ensuring compliance with applicable state procurement policies and procedures.
The role will manage procurement activities from the development and implementation of sourcing strategies through contract award. Responsibilities include identifying business needs, drafting solicitations, supporting procurement execution and evaluations, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders and schedules. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and assist business divisions with solicitation specifications using internal and external sources of information.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and execution strategies for various solicitation methods, including RFP, RFQ, and RFI.
- Represent the organization and procurement functions when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice and consultation to procurement and program staff to determine appropriate procurement methods and develop effective procurement strategies.
- Coordinate procurement activities, timelines, requirements, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Support solicitation development, evaluation, and contract award processes.
- Ensure procurement activities align with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and 5 to 10 years of business, procurement, and/or contract management experience
