Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Public Sector Financials Solution Architect to support a large-scale government transformation initiative for a North Carolina public sector agency. This role will provide architectural leadership for the Public Sector Finance workstream and drive the successful transformation of an existing SAP R/3 environment to SAP S/4HANA.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Public Sector Financials, government accounting, SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, and full lifecycle SAP implementations, including hands-on Go-Live and Hypercare experience. Experience working with State, County, Local Government, Municipal, or Public Sector organizations is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
12+ years of SAP experience.
8+ years of SAP Public Sector Financials experience.
Minimum 3 full lifecycle SAP Public Sector implementations.
Minimum 2 SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Demonstrated hands-on experience through Go-Live, Cutover, and Hypercare phases.
Strong expertise in:
- SAP Funds Management (FM)
- SAP Grants Management (GM)
- SAP Treasury & Cash Management
- Government Accounting
- Public Sector Budgeting
- Revenue & Tax Management
- SAP FI/CO
Experience integrating SAP SuccessFactors with SAP Financial systems.
Experience integrating SAP with Benefits Administration platforms.
Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and consulting skills.
