Position Summary:

This position oversees the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of laboratory informatics systems within a regulated environment. This role ensures that all lab software solutions operate reliably, securely, and in continuous compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The position serves as a key liaison between laboratory operations, IT, quality assurance, and external vendors to support system functionality, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

The administrator is responsible for managing user access, maintaining validated system states, supporting audits and inspections, and troubleshooting technical issues that impact laboratory workflows. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, a deep understanding of regulated laboratory processes, and the ability to translate operational needs into compliant digital solutions that enhance efficiency and data quality.

Job Function - General:
  • Support initiative to standardize engineering documentation such as user requirement specifications, functional specifications, detailed design specifications
  • Support selection and implementation of tools to simplify, standardize and manage engineering lifecycle documents
  • Support risk analysis activities for engineering including equipment and automation
  • Support selection and implementation of tools to simplify, standardize and manage engineering risk analysis documents
  • Partner with team members to support initiatives related to artificial intelligence including supporting procedures, testing functionality, and initial installation support
  • Create standard informatics methods for introducing, updating, tracking and trending engineering metrics
  • Support artificial intelligence initiatives including working with suppliers on FAT and SAT
  • Create standard work instructions for re-teaching processes for Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Establish Good Machine Learning Practices (GMLP) for algorithm development for Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Collaborate with team to author risk management documents, software pre-specification (SPS), and algorithm change protocol (ACP) for AI / ML systems
  • Upload and route engineering documentation into proper systems, such as electronic tools, BDocs, PEM-IT, etc.
  • Participate in lean, six sigma, operational excellence improvement activities
  • Support smart manufacturing initiatives including use of cobots, robotics, line integration, and data analytics and partner with automation team
  • Facilitate piloting and proof of principle activities for potential new manufacturing technologies or equipment
  • Analyze engineering data such as SAP, MES, EBR, OEM, or LIMS in order to support real-life responses and trouble shooting
  • Use and incorporate statistical tools for engineering data analysis
  • Support effort to move toward proactive or predictive approach of process control and OEE
  • Support and maintain database of existing engineering technologies and possible future technologies
  • Support the implementation of innovative solutions including adapting the innovation as necessary to facilitate a practical use at BBMI locations

Education and Professional Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 02-04 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport

Salary Range: $ 85,300 - $95,300
