Product Solutions Owner

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's Oil and Gas client in Houston TX is in search of a Tubulars SME (WellCat/StressCheck) Solutions Owner/Product Owner to join their team. This person will provide technical leadership and product guidance for two of the industry's leading well construction engineering applications.

Summary:
This role is ideal for a seasoned Tubulars, Well Integrity, Drilling, or Completion Engineering professional with strong practical experience using WellCat and/or StressCheck in real-world engineering environments. While deep domain expertise is critical, we are not seeking the industry's foremost global expert. Instead, we are looking for a hands-on specialist with a proven track record supporting complex wells, challenging operating environments, and diverse geographic regions. The successful candidate will partner with Product Management, Software Engineering, Consulting, Technical Sales, and customers to ensure product development aligns with industry workflows, customer requirements, and future technology trends.

Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as a subject matter expert for WellCat and StressCheck
* Define, review, and validate product requirements
* Translate engineering workflows and customer needs into actionable software enhancements
* Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams on roadmap priorities
* Evaluate new features, customer requests, and technical opportunities

Provide guidance and support in areas such as:
* Tubular Design
* Casing Design
* Completion Design
* Well Integrity
* Mechanical Stress Analysis
* Burst & Collapse Analysis
* Buckling Analysis
* Fatigue Analysis
* Failure Prediction
* Connection Performance
* Thermal Effects
* Drilling & Completion Engineering

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
* Experience leveraging modern software technologies, automation, scripting, data analytics, or AI-assisted engineering workflows is highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
