Senior Cloud Engineering Technical Account Manager (TAM) acts as a strategic bridge between a company’s engineering, product, and internal business teams. Drive cloud adoption, optimize technical operations, and advocate for internal clients to ensure cloud resources meet the organization''s strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Internal Client Advisory: Partner with internal business units and product owners to develop cloud roadmaps and ensure technical capabilities align with broader business goals.
• Architecture & Governance: Establish technical governance, conduct workload health assessments, and promote the adoption of cloud best practices across teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the central point of contact, coordinating across software engineering, SRE, and infrastructure teams to remove blockers and solve complex architectural problems.
• Internal Advocacy: Translate technical obstacles, feedback, and scaling challenges into actionable feature requests to influence internal product development and platform roadmaps.
• Incident & Risk Management: Own the resolution of critical reliability concerns, assist with post-incident root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with enterprise security and risk frameworks.
• Capacity & Cost Optimization: Monitor platform health and resource utilization, providing data-driven recommendations to manage budgets and optimize cloud spend.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, combined with 8+ years of experience in enterprise cloud consulting, technical account management, or solutions engineering.
Technical Acumen:
• Expert-level understanding of AWS core technologies and tools. At least two AWS Certifications.
• Expert-level understanding of Kubernetes and containerization.
• Advanced administration knowledge of Linux systems.
• Proficient in scripting/programming with Bash, Java, Python, and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of DevOps, Scrum, and ITIL methodologies.
• Expertise in virtualization and containerization technologies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and executive presentation skills. Proven ability to negotiate, translate complex technical jargon for diverse audiences, and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
