It is a mid-level role responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient energization of electrical systems such as switchgear, transformers, generators, and associated control systems. The role encompasses performing testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination activities to facilitate system handover and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering support during commissioning, startup, and system turnover phases of power projects.
  • Lead and support electrical testing activities including insulation resistance, hi-pot, relay testing, and functional verification.
  • Validate power system studies such as short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis, ensuring alignment with as-built conditions before energization.
  • Support pre-commissioning procedures, including loop checks, calibration, and protection system verification.
