ROLE AND PURPOSE:
  • This role will work as a developer and integrator for the organization's IT Service Management Platform.
  • The position is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining ITSM workflows, automations, and user experiences that support effective service delivery.
  • Development and programming skills in languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks, including scripting and API integrations are essential.
  • The role also supports the responsible use of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution (required)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
  • A combination of relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, ITSM Platform Administration, CompTIA A+, etc., and two (2) years of experience in an IT-related role (required)

Experience:
  • Must have experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts and practices
  • Experience as a ITSM Platform Administrator, or at a minimum general experience with application development and system administration (preferred)
  • Proficient developing and managing an enterprise ITSM platform using a variety of developer tools including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks
  • Experience with Client- and Server-side scripting, UI, form designing, and APIs
  • Must have experience using enterprise ITSM platforms or other similar ITSM systems and processes
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, coding, and debugging skills
  • Experience designing or supporting automation and AI-assisted capabilities such as intelligent routing, knowledge recommendations, analytics, or virtual agents (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze operational data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

I. PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Serve as a developer, designer, and system administrator for the organization's ITSM platform
  • Manage user accounts, user groups, and roles within the ITSM platform and other integrated systems
  • Manage Access Control Lists (ACLs), application menus, and modules to secure access for users by role within the ITSM platform
  • Serve as a point of contact via phone, email, and messaging for troubleshooting ITSM platform-related problems
  • Use knowledge, skills, and industry tools to problem solve technology-related issues, perform updates to ITSM platform development and production environments as needed
  • Design, test, and debug client-side and server-side scripts, manage applications, implement application security, and automate applications
  • Maintain and improve on usability, user interface (UI) and design of existing ITSM platform.
  • Develop and maintain documented system designs, procedures, processes, etc.
  • Categorize and prioritize incidents, requests, inquiries, and tasks according to SLA and other IT protocols
  • Work with other AISD departments and campus personnel to develop intuitive designs, interfaces, and workflows within the ITSM platform as needed
  • Create and maintain support documentation within the knowledge base concerning software and systems that support the goals of the department and district
  • Participate in system security assessments and audits as needed
  • Leverage automation and AI-enabled features to improve services efficiency, including ticket categorization, routing, self-service, and knowledge discovery.
  • Monitor and validate AI-driven outputs to ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with district policies.

II. OTHER DUTIES:
  • Participate in department & district planning to ensure the effective use of all technologies being implemented in the school district
  • Perform knowledge transfer sessions with team members as needed
  • Participate in appropriate training, in-service and workshop programs, and attend any required meetings
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines
  • Display ethical and professional behavior while working with district personnel, students, parents, and outside agencies associated with the district
  • Prepare documentation on applications, system procedures, processes, and best practices for review and distribution to district staff as needed
  • Continually looking for ways to improve processes and procedures that result in increased efficiency
  • Report to supervisor(s) to provide support and recommendations for identified issues, projects, and initiatives
  • Occasionally work prolonged and/or irregular hours, with little to no advance notice, in order to ensure/restore department and/or district operations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • Motion: Occasional walking; frequent fine motor movement using hands and fingers for keyboarding, scripting, and mouse operation.
  • Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 35 pounds), such as small hardware, peripherals, or office materials.
  • Environment: Work performed primarily indoors in a standard office environment; occasional exposure to moderate noise levels typical of an office setting.
  • Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; analyze complex technical information; manage multiple tasks and priorities; exercise judgment, problem-solving, and attention to detail while supporting time-sensitive service operations.
