Job overview and responsibilities

The Lead Engineer serves as a technical expert with extensive development experience in ServiceNow. This role manages technical design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance with a primary focus on Field Services (FSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities within the ServiceNow platform. In this role you will design, configure and deploy technology solutions that streamline operations, improve productivity and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Configure and implement all aspects of ServiceNow FSM module including developing and automating workflows using designer, business rules, script includes and other tools.
  • Customize and enhance the FSM Agent experience, build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow FSM, ITAM, ITSM and other internal or third-party systems.
  • Plan & Design solutions after requirements are gathered, look for improvements and enhancement opportunities.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for complex issues related to ServiceNow functionality, integrations, and performance.
  • Ensure that all development work adheres to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Particpate in ServiceNow platform upgrades and stay current on new platform features and best practices.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • 3+ years IT experience
  • Development experience on the ServiceNow platform
  • Experience in Agile delivery methodology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • ServiceNow Certifications
  • ITIL Certification
  • 2+ years working with ServiceNow Field Services or Asset Management Modules
