Job Description
We are seeking a Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile product management, backlog refinement, and stakeholder collaboration and a proven ability to translate business needs into prioritized user stories that deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal customers, business lines, and Agile teams to drive product evolution and alignment to strategy.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritize for maximum business value.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the business and Agile teams to communicate vision and goals.
- Work hands-on with the development team to address daily priorities, provide real-time feedback, and clarify requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, prospective users, and clients to gather insights and translate needs into product requirements.
- Coordinate with Product Management to plan releases, assess value readiness, and communicate scope, schedule, and budget tradeoffs.
- Apply product management practices including customer research, data analysis, and market research to inform decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Agile product management and backlog tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in customer research, data, and market analysis.
- Clear verbal and written communication with facilitation of discovery sessions and story mapping.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills to empower cross-functional teams.
- Thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and ways of working.
- Proficient computer navigation and productivity skills.
- Experience level: 5+ years in product ownership, business analysis, or related roles.
Preferred Skills:
- Standard industry certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and story mapping.
