Job Overview:
  • Manage and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure to ensure reliable message delivery and system performance. The role involves configuration, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and securing messaging environments across multiple platforms.
Skills:
  • IBM MQ administration and configuration.
  • Queue manager creation, configuration, and management.
  • Channel setup and management including sender, receiver, server, and client channels.
  • Clustering and distributed queuing.
  • Message persistence and delivery guarantees.
  • Dead letter queue handling and poison message management.
  • Unix/Linux administration including AIX, Red Hat, and SUSE.
  • Windows Server administration.
  • Shell scripting using Bash, KSH, and PowerShell.
  • File system management and permissions.
  • TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • SSL/TLS certificate management.
  • Port configuration and firewall rules.
  • LDAP integration.
  • Authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Message encryption and security protocols.
  • Performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Log analysis and debugging.
  • Queue depth and channel status monitoring.
  • Error handling and issue resolution.
  • Capacity planning.
  • Experience with message brokers such as IBM Integration Bus and Apache Kafka.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS MQ and Azure Service Bus.

Qualification And Education:
  • IBM Certified System Administrator MQ certification preferred.
Experience:
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in IBM MQ administration.
