Job#: 3023968 Job Description: OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer with extensive experience in electronic circuit design, PCB development, and hardware integration. This position supports full-lifecycle hardware engineering activities, including concept definition, schematic capture, simulation, layout support, verification, and transition into production. The role is hands-on, highly technical, and requires strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Degrees in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology may also be considered
- Minimum 8+ years of digital hardware design engineering experience
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Development and design of electronic circuit designs
- Translating block-level concepts or requirements into complete hardware designs and verifying them through test/integration
- PCB design processes, including schematic capture, simulation, and pre-layout analysis
- Experience with tools and processes for schematic creation, electrical analysis, and hardware simulation
- Ability to interpret and develop complex electronic circuitry
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (clearance must be active prior to start)
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with:
- Embedded test techniques
- Design-for-test (DFT)
- Design margin analysis
- Design for production/manufacturability
- Hands-on experience using Siemens EDA / Mentor Graphics tools:
- DxDesigner
- xDX Designer VX
- Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale, Vivado, Atrix
- Proficiency with advanced PCB design and simulation software:
- HyperLynx (signal integrity, power integrity, analog simulation)
- Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB)
- Experience designing complex circuit card assemblies (16-32 layers)
- Familiarity with Constraint Editor System (CES)
- Working knowledge of software and/or FPGA development
- Experience transitioning programs from development to production
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Manage technical and schedule risk
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities
- Track and manage schedules and resources
- Experience providing technical leadership within multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of cost and schedule development/management
- Proven problem-solving and debugging abilities
