Commercial Security Systems Technician
Location: Charlotte, NC
Experience: Mid-Senior Level
We're seeking an experienced Commercial Security Systems Technician to join our Technical Services Group. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on system work, advanced troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality solutions for commercial clients. You'll play a key role in system implementation, programming, and final commissioning across intrusion, access control, fire, and video systems.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, program, and commission commercial intrusion, access control, fire, and CCTV/video systems
• Provide advanced technical support for installed security systems, both remotely and onsite
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure optimal performance at customer locations
• Deliver end-user training and ensure smooth system handoff
• Collaborate closely with installation teams, project managers, engineers, and other technical specialists
• Assist and mentor other technical support team members as needed
• Maintain detailed service reports and documentation
• Interact professionally with customers and consistently exceed customer satisfaction expectations

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years of experience installing and servicing commercial electronic security systems
• Strong hands-on experience with CCTV, access control, alarms, and video systems
• Familiarity with enterprise-level access control platforms such as Lenel (OnGuard) is a strong plus
• Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Honeywell or similar vendors
• Solid understanding of low-voltage systems, cabling, and networked security devices
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred Certifications (a Plus, Not Required)

• Lenel or similar access control certifications
• Industry technical licenses or manufacturer certifications

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
