Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end-user hardware and Microsoft-based technologies in an enterprise environment. This role focuses on deskside support, device refresh and deployment activities, and troubleshooting issues related to Windows systems and Microsoft collaboration tools. The ideal candidate has strong technical fundamentals, experience with device deployments, and a customer-focused approach to IT support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide deskside and remote support for end-user hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and basic networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform device refresh, deployment, and migration activities for Windows endpoints.
  • Utilize deployment and migration tools such as PXE Boot, SCCM, and Microsoft Autopilot to image and configure devices.
  • Support Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Intune.
  • Assist with device enrollment, configuration, and compliance through Microsoft Intune.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup and user access validation.
  • Document incidents, requests, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed while maintaining ownership through resolution.
  • Follow IT standards, security policies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of IT Support or Desktop Support experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience supporting deskside hardware such as PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and basic networking devices.
  • Hands-on experience with device refresh and deployment projects.
  • Experience using deployment or migration tools such as PXE Boot, SCCM, or Microsoft Autopilot.
  • Solid experience supporting Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Intune.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale refresh or migration initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise endpoint management best practices.
  • Exposure to IT asset management or inventory tracking systems.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
