Job Title: Information Security Engineer I
Duties: The role of the cyber security engineer demands technical skill, superior customer service and the ability to think, communicate and write at various levels.
As a member of the Cyber Security Project Process & Standards Team, this role will work with project managers and members of their project team to ensure security requirements are designed into projects.
Serves as the primary information security representative resource for IT and Business Projects. Ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner, represents projects from security and disaster recovery perspective at various meetings & review boards.
Researches and advocates new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners and vendors.
Facilitates cyber security build work while working closely with the cyber security & engineering design team.
Communicates security risks to appropriate staff within information security.
Ensures projects are meeting the information security requirements by completing audits on projects
Works closely with the cyber security & engineering team on improving Cyber Security standards and processes.
Skills:
IT and security work experience, with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multiplatform environments
Strong networking background in TCP/IP, routing/switching and firewalls
Knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications
Demonstrated knowledge with security testing methodologies
Demonstrated experience developing detailed system designs, diagrams, processes & documentation
Demonstrated regulatory experience in IT regulations, PCI-DSS, NERC/CIP, HIPAA
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Demonstrated experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity best practices
Demonstrated Knowledge of SANS 20 controls framework and other security frameworks (for example, NIST-800 series, NIST IR 7628)
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Visio
Ability to speak in public forum in front of various audiences
Education:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
Professional certifications, preferably in technical areas of security, are desired.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $85.00/hr.
