About the Team

The Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team is responsible for establishing, governing, and evolving enterprise configuration management practices across the organization. We oversee the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Common Service Data Model (CSDM) adoption, data quality standards, and governance processes that support critical technology operations.

We are seeking a highly organized and self-driven Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant to help drive the maturity of configuration management capabilities, improve CMDB data quality, and implement scalable automation and governance practices across a complex enterprise technology environment.
About the Role

As a Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant, you will partner with technology, infrastructure, application, and business teams to design and implement enterprise-wide configuration management solutions. You will provide leadership in CMDB governance, systems integration oversight, process improvement, and data quality initiatives while ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

You will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives that improve visibility, accuracy, and governance across technology assets, services, and configuration items.
Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide Configuration Management and CMDB initiatives across technology organizations.
• Drive adoption and implementation of ServiceNow CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) best practices.
• Establish and maintain governance processes that ensure CMDB data quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Partner with infrastructure, application, cloud, and operations teams to improve configuration management processes and automation opportunities.
• Design and monitor CMDB integrations, identifying issues and driving resolution through effective escalation management.
• Evaluate technology changes and ensure proper configuration management controls are implemented across the asset lifecycle.
• Support onboarding of new technologies and retirement of legacy platforms while maintaining accurate service and configuration data.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects, including planning, documentation, execution, and delivery oversight.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop scalable and effective technology solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for configuration management, service asset management, and CMDB governance.
• Build strong relationships across business and technology organizations to ensure alignment and successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to operational processes, governance frameworks, and systems integration performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Business Systems Design, or related technology consulting roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs).
• Experience managing or supporting ServiceNow CMDB implementations and operations.
• Experience working with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) frameworks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, applications, and technology ecosystems.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities in complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow development, configuration, or solution design.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and cloud service management.
• Experience with Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) programs.
• Knowledge of operational governance and technology compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Technology Project Management experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
